Koncent Announces Mini Size Power Monitor

March 21, 2003

Koncent Communication, Inc., a leading fiber optical component manufacturer and supplier, has released its mini size power monitor, the newest addition to its power reconfiguration series.

Based on Koncent's unique manufacturing process, these cutting edge mini size power monitors significantly reduce the dimensions of existing power monitor from 6.0x26 mm (Dia. x L) to 3.5x21mm (Dia. x L) while its high performance is maintained. The device features good performance, includes low insertion loss, low polarization dependent loss (PDL) at wide operating wavelength range and wide input power dynamic range, at the same time, tap ratio from 1%-15% is available.

The mini size power monitor is idea for channel monitoring used in dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) technology and Add/Drop modules or for power monitoring used in amplifier systems.
