Photop's VOA adopts double-fiber collimator that is autonomous invention, the special fiber that is used for such collimator is also researched and developed by Photop Koncent. The solution that the special fiber applies VOA based on micro-electronics and mechanical system is Photop unique technology. Photop's VOA also features with compact design, fast response time, low Polarization Dependent Loss (PDL), low Wavelength Dependent Loss (WDL), very low insertion loss and very low crosstalk, while maintaining Photop's competitive price.

The application for Photop's VOA is with signal power management in optical networks, dynamic optical power control and channel equalization in add/drop multiplexers, gain tilt control in EDFAs and test equipment.
